Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso said it's only right for a person to choose what COVID-19 vaccine brand he/she wants to get.

"Karapatan ng tao na mamili ng bakunang ituturok sa kanya (People have the right to choose what kind of vaccine will be injected to them)," he said.
Domagoso said this after the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) directed the local government units to refrain from announcing the brand of COVID-19 vaccines that will be used in vaccination sites.
The city government will no longer announce the COVID-19 vaccine brands on their vaccination sites in compliance with the directive.
"Hindi kami mag-a-announce ng brand. Susundin namin ang alituntunin ng Department of Health/Inter-agency Task Force (We will not announce the brand. We'll follow the guidelines of the DOH/IATF)," he said.
Domagoso also advised people that they can still ask for the brand of the COVID-19 vaccines available in the vaccination sites or while waiting in line.
"Pwede naman po kayong magtanong sa mismong bakunahan o kaya habang ikaw ay nasa pila. Hindi iyon bawal," he said. (You can still ask about the vaccine brand at the vaccination center or while you are waiting in line. That is not prohibited,)
"Your body. Your choice. Karapatan mo iyan (That's your right)," Domagoso added.
