Only 45 barangays in Pasay City have COVID-19 cases

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said 45 out of the 201 barangays in the city still have active cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

She said the city recorded the lowest number of COVID-19 cases among the cities in Metro Manila, having only 93 active cases or 0.65% as of May 20.

The mayor said reduction in the number of infections in the city was made possible through the prevent-detect-isolate-treat and reintegrate (PDITR) system that the city government is strictly implementing.

Rubiano said they are also implementing localized community lockdown in barangays with three or more active COVID-19 cases.

She said Barangay 183 remains under total lockdown for recording 18 cases of the dreaded disease.

The mayor also urged the residents to support the city government’s “Vacc to the Future” vaccination program.

The City Health Office said that about 12,353 senior citizens and 25,944 adults with comorbidities have already supported the project.

Rubiano said the city government is also offering “Vacc to the Future: Home Service” for the bedridden senior citizens and sick adults who wanted to be vaccinated.
