Rabiya Mateo to start showbiz career

Is Rabiya Mateo saying goodbye to pageantry?

Only days after her Miss Universe stint, the dusky Ilongga revealed she is looking forward to starting a career in showbiz.

She told reporters during her send off in Florida, "I'll be taking a bit of a break, but I'll be back and join showbiz..."

The 24-year-old then went on to specify that she wants to try "acting."

In any case, pageant fans could heave a sigh of relief.

Rabiya is not altogether foregoing pageantry.

She related, "I still want to be able to somehow help pageant organizers in training our next international pageant candidates."
