The Pasay City government’s “Vacc to the Future” vaccination program is now offering home service vaccination to senior citizens and adults with comorbidities.
According to Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano, the “Vacc to the Future: Home Service” was launched due to the clamor of bedridden senior citizens and adults with comorbidities who wanted to be inoculated but cannot visit vaccination sites.
Rubiano said bedridden senior citizens and adults with comorbidities can call at their nearest health center and request for an appointment for their vaccination.
She said the City Health Office (CHO) under Dr. Cesar Encinares was also directed to order all health centers in the city to accept calls for schedule and appointment of bedridden senior citizens and adults with comorbidities for them to be vaccinated at their homes.
Encinares, for his part, said they are scheduling the home vaccination of bedridden senior citizens and sick adults because of the sensitivity of the vaccines.
He also said those who wanted to be inoculated at their homes must be pre-registered and have proof of comorbidity like the medical certificate, prescription maintenance and hospital records.
