Olivia Culpo explains viral 'mood' during Miss Universe Competition

Did Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo disagree with the results of Miss Universe 2020 pageant?


This after Culpo could be seen furrowing her brows after announcing that Miss Peru was the second runner-up.

Many thought  Culpo's facial expression looked like she disagreed with the results. Others thought she was "confused."

Culpo defended herself from criticisms.

"I don't think I have ever concentrated so hard on reading in my life than when announcing the winner of Miss Universe this weekend," Culpo said.

Culpo admitted she was terrified reading the wrong country.

"Apparently I need to work in my reading face, and I'm sorry if this was misinterpreted in any type of way," the American beauty queen said.

"I swear I'm just concentrating on the words. Every girl was beautiful and most importantly so sweet and kind," she added.

Culpo has earlier trended on social media for lack of energy in hosting the 69th Miss Universe Competition in Florida last May 16.

Some Filipino stars even noticed her lack of stage presence during the show.
