ITCZ continues to bring rain showers, thunderstorms over Palawan, VisMin
Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms may affect most parts of the country on Thursday, May 20, due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), the state weather bureau said.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the ITCZ, a region where trade winds from the northern and southern hemispheres converge, would affect Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan.
These areas may experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the weather system.
The agency warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Meanwhile, the easterlies or warm and humid winds from the Pacific would affect the rest of Luzon.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will likely have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.
Based on the extended weather outlook, expect warm and humid weather conditions in Metro Manila in the next three days, with temperatures ranging between 26 to 36 degrees Celius.
PAGASA has not issued a gale warning, meaning that fishing boats and other small sea craft are allowed to venture out into the sea.
