Fans of the 90s hit show “Friends” will finally have their most fervent wish fulfilled as Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, and Lisa Kudrow reunite on screen for a much-anticipated reunion special.
After releasing the goosebumps inducing teaser for the reunion special which will be streamed by HBO Max on May 27th, the network finally released the full trailer of the major event. Here are some things we picked up from the trailer.
- In the episode entitled: The One Where They Get Back Together, the special will feature different segments. Part of the show will have the cast members partaking of a quiz about previous episodes of “Friends” while a portion will have them discussing key moments of filming.
- Lisa Kudrow will share what happened in the first table reading of “Friends” which was also the first time that she met the rest of the cast.
- Cast members will share what happened in the 17 years since the show stopped airing and how they maintained their strong friendship over the years. It can be recalled that “Friends” cast members Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow have done guest appearances and cameos on Courtney Cox’s “Cougartown” while David Schwimmer directed two episodes of Matt LeBlanc’s “Joey.” Matt also flew all the way to London to support Matthew Perry’s playwriting debut for “The End of Longing.”
- Just like its 10-season run, a star-studded guest list that includes David Beckham,Justin Bieber, James Corden, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevigne, Lady Gaga, Elliot Gould, LarryHankin, Kit Harington, Mindy Kaling, Thomas Lennon, Christina Pickles, Tom Selleck, JamesMichael Tyler, Maggie Wheeler, Reese Witherspoon, and Malala Yousafzai is one of the main draws of the show.Kpop superstars BTS also scored an invite to the guest list.
- “Friends” cast members will also recreate fan favorite moments from the show as they revisit their iconic set and read the scripts of unforgettable moments.
