2021 Korean Film Festival set from May 7-27

Seven movies will be showcased at the 2021 Korean Film Festival organized by the Korean Cultural Center (KCC) and the Korean Embassy in the Philippines.

Under the theme “Full House, Fun for All,” this year’s Korean Film Festival will again be happening online from May 7 to 27 that can be enjoyed for free by families from their homes.

The movies that will be presented cover action, comedy and family drama to cater to preferences by every family member.

Under the action genre are the 2019 film “Exit” starring Jo Jung-suk and Girls’ Generation’s Yoona, and the 2019 movie “Extreme Job” headlined by Ryu Seung-ryong, Lee Hanee, Jin Seon-kyu, Lee Dong-hwi and Gong Myung.

The comedy films this year are the 2016’s “My Annoying Brother” featuring Jo Jung-suk, EXO’s D.O. and Park Shin-hye, and the 2019 movie “Miss and Mrs. Cops” starring Ra Mi-ran and Lee Sung-kyung.

Under family drama are the 2019 film “Kim Jiyoung, Born in 1982” starring Jung Yu-mi and Gong Yoo, 2018’s “Keys to the Heart” featuring Lee Byung-hun, Park Jung-min and 2021 Oscars best supporting actress Youn Yuh-jung, and the 2018 drama “The Soul-Mate” starring Ma Dong-seok and Kim Young-kwang.

In addition, KCC will also give away prizes through the 2021 KFF Online Film Reaction Essay Contest and the KFF Survey. All the participants need to do is either write their own thoughts about the films or simply answer a few questions. The Korean Film Festival is organized in partnership with Korea Film Council, Film Development Council of the Philippines, Korea Tourism Organization, Viva International Pictures, APOP and Smart.
