VP Leni says actor-singer Piolo Pascual her 'longtime' crush

Vice President Leni Robredo is not as candid when talking about her personal life, particularly men that interest her.

After all, she could imagine no other love after her 25-year-marriage with her late husband and interior secretary Jesse Robredo, who died in a plane crash in 2012.

But she took exception when asked during last Tuesday’s “Fast Talk” with Teleradyo’s Kapamilya Konek.

“Sino ang crush mong artista?”

In reply, the 56-year-old vice president revealed her local celebrity crush would be hunk singer-actor Piolo Pascual.

“For a very long time, si Piolo Pascual,” Robredo said, with a hearty laugh.

Pascual now is missing from showbiz circles as he’s enjoying life in his farm in Mabini, Batangas. In a recent vlog by celebrity-doctors Dra. Vicky Belo and Dr. Hayden Kho, Pascual was seen quarantining in his little hideaway there.

The actor, musician, and film producer explained that he tries to make his farm self-sustaining through recycling, composting, and zero-waste management.

His quiet life in Batangas, he said, is a “respite” haven from his busy showbiz life.

Piolo’s last project was “Hayop ka! The Nimfa Dimaano Story” where he voiced the animated character Papa George.

While taking a showbiz hiatus, Pascual also ventured into producing music. He opened his own music label, Just Music, a sub-unit of CS Music (Cornerstone Entertainment’s music label).
