Pia Wurtzbach to bashers: 'Kayo ba hindi napapagod?'

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach has renewed her appeal to pageant fans to stop bashing, saying pageantry should bring people together.


"Ang message ng Miss Universe is for the girls na magsama-sama, acceptance kahit na iba-iba kayo ng pinangalingan. Ang pangit lang doon is the audience which is now the complete opposite. Watak-watak lahat. They're fighting, pulling each other down. What we keep saying over and over again is to accept one another. Kayo ba hindi napapagod? Kasi ako medyo...," said Wurtzbach, during an episode of her popular YouTube show "Queentuhan" with beauty queens Bianca Quidotti and Carla Lizardo on May 18, Tuesday night. (The message of Miss Universe is for the girls to bring all together and accept one another despite the differences. But what's happening now is the complete opposite. Fans are divided. Don't you get tired of doing this?)


Wurtzbach said that pageant fans should stop being emotional and accept the decision of the judges.

"I also read comments na binili raw, maraming Latina na judges. Huwag natin i-doubt yung organization. Kasi wala ng manunood ng Miss Universe kung luto ito. Yun talaga ang napili ng judges. It's her destiny. Let's shake hands and accept defeat," she said. (I read negative comments about the organization (Miss Universe Organization). Let us not doubt the organization. The judges have spoken, and it's her - Andrea Meza - destiny.)

"Pag tayo naman ang nananalo wala namang sumisigaw ng luto. Pag hindi tayo nanalo, luto lagi, ganun. This edition is so toxic. I don't know why siguro everybody's at home and naka-focus dito. It just feels more intense this year," the German-Filipino beauty queen said. (If we win, no one's protesting. And if we don't win, some fans will say it's a 'cooking show.' This edition is so toxic. Maybe because everybody's at home, and we are focused on this).


"May konting kirot pa rin kay Rabiya but I am excited for Andrea and I mean that. (It still hurts that Rabiya lost but I am excited for Andrea).

The queens also commented on rumors that the next Miss Universe will be held in December or January 2022.


"If the rumors are true that the Miss Universe will be held soon, we got to start working now. Before we know it, December na naman uli," she said.

Wurtzbach also believes that Rabiya will have a wonderful career after her stint at Miss Universe.


"People love her, and they can relate to her. She's also funny," the beauty queen said.
