Shamcey Supsup thanks Rabiya Mateo for wearing PH sash with pride, love

Support for Rabiya Mateo continues to pour despite her not winning at the recently concluded Miss Universe beauty pageant.

On Instagram, Miss Universe Philippine National Director and Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner-up Shamcey Supsup penned an appreciation post for Rabiya's efforts to raise the Philippine flag abroad.

She said that the latter has shown what it means to be "relentless, unyielding, and unstoppable" in the pursuit of one's dreams. 

And Shamcey is proud that despite the "setbacks, critics, and failures," the Ilongga beauty queen continued to wear the Philippine sash with "pride and love." 

"And for that, you are a winner, not just in my eyes but in the hearts of millions of Filipinos around the world. Padayon! (Philippine flag emoji)," she wrote.

Prior, former Miss Universe titleholders Catriona Gray (2018) and Pia Wurtzbach (2015) also reiterated their support to co-Filipina beauty queen.
