Rabiya Mateo on not winning as Miss Universe: 'We are queens already even without that crown'

Rabiya Mateo remains positive despite her not making it among the winner's circle in this year's Miss Universe pageant.

During the Instagram live video of Miss Bolivia Lenka Nemer, moments after the coronation, the Filipina beauty queen noted that her loss is a "beautiful" start.

"It's just gonna be one girl who's gonna be crowned. But I know in my heart - every one of us - we are queens already even without that crown," she declared. 

Rabiya also agreed to Lenka that more than anything, they are thankful to have found new friendships.

"And the impact that you've made! It's not every day that we get to represent our countries," she said. 

"So this is really a great opportunity for all of the girls. And we are happy to be here. Thank you so much for the support..."

Rabiya ended her Miss Universe journey as part of the Top 21 finalists.
