Many got excited following rumors about Liza Soberano supposedly expressing intention to represent the country at the next Miss Universe tilt.

Allegedly, the actress made known her desire to join the prestigious pageant via Facebook.

Some fans were ecstatic, believing Liza a sure winner given her looks.

One said, "Naku sana totoo, susuporta ako 110%"

Another wrote, "Sige nga Liza! Iangat mo ang bandera ng bansa!"

But alas, it was fake news.

The 23-year-old ABS-CBN talent came out to deny the said post, making clear she doesn't have a Facebook account.

She went on to ask fans to report the said account.
