Caloocan City completes ECQ cash aid distribution

The city government of Caloocan has completed the distribution of the cash aid from the national government to residents affected by the reimposition of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) last March.

A total of 410, 053 families received the cash assistance from the P1,336,190 allotted budget to the city.

Mayor Oca Malapitan thanked the national government for the financial aid and all local government personnel who helped in the distribution.

"Nagpapasalamat tayo sa national government para sa ayudang ibinaba upang makatulong sa mga pamilyang apektado ng ipinatupad na ECQ (We are grateful to the national government for the assistance extended to families affected by the ECQ),” he said.

"Espesyal na pasasalamat din sa ating mga kawani, mga barangay, UCC students at sa USSC, ang ating partner remittance company, kaya't naging maayos, ligtas, at matagumpay ang proyektong ito (Special thanks also to our staff, barangays, UCC students and to USSC, our partner remittance company, who helped make this project go smoothly, safely, and successfully),” he added.

Among the beneficiaries of the cash aid were Persons With Disabilities (7, 958), Social Amelioration Program (SAP) and Bayanihan 2 (363, 737 families) recipients, solo parents (1, 241 families), Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program members or 4Ps (26, 307 families), TODA/JODA members (6,722), and 4,088 appeals who were approved by the grievance committee.

The city was able to complete its distribution of the cash aid by using online scheduling, distribution, and documentation system.
