Tanay, Rizal retains 8pm-5am curfew under stricter GCQ

Tanay, Rizal will retain its curfew hours at 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. even with the National Capital Region (NCR) Plus easing to general community quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions.

The office of Mayor Rex Manuel Tanjuatco also announced over the weekend that effective on Sunday, May 16, the liquor ban is lifted but the sale of alcoholic drinks is only allowed from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. while the consumption can be done only from 12 p.m to 8 p.m.

Restrictions on the entry to the market for residents and non residents have also been lifted starting Sunday.

Tricycles are now also allowed to carry a maximum of two passengers per ride provided that non permeable transparent plastic barriers are installed to separate the passengers and the driver.

Although outdoor tourist attractions have been allowed to operate at 30 percent capacity, the Daranak Falls will remain closed until the end of the month, according to the Tanay Tourism Office.

Upland and mountain destinations managed by the local government of Tanay and barangays have been opened to the public provided that visitors have the confirmed reservation with the tourism destinations aside from complying with the health protocols set by national authorities.
