Catriona Gray backs Rabiya Mateo in Miss Universe pageant

Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray has rallied behind Miss Philippines Rabiya Mateo in her journey to the 69th Miss Universe Competition in Hollywood, Florida.

"Our girl literally said, 'no sun in my natcos? I am the sun,'" wrote Gray along with the hashtag "#AribaRabiya."

Gray has reiterated her support to Rabiya following mixed reviews on her performance at the National Costume show.

But earlier, Gray shared her top picks for national costume and the Filipino beauty queen was not one of them.

Catriona said the national costume show is one of her favorite segments in Miss Universe.

"I love the celebration of culture and a country's expression of identity which is why it's one of my favorite segments!"
