Catriona Gray to Rabiya Mateo: No need to apologize

Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray has said that Miss Philippines Rabiya Mateo does not need to apologize to anyone following her performance at the national costume show of the 69th Miss Universe Competition ongoing in Hollywood, Florida.


"@rabiyamateo does not need to apologize!," said Catriona. "She worked that stage and PER-FORMED."
Catriona said that the national costume is a segment that celebrates culture and a country's identity, although it has no bearing in the actual pageant.

The Australian-Filipino beauty queen also applauded Rabiya for her effort of gracefully donning her national costume. 


"20++ kgs but @rabiyamateo carried it with such strength," she related. "If this is an insight to her level of performance, so excited for prelims!"


Filipino beauty queens also expressed support to Rabiya.
