WATCH: Miss Universe candidates and their throwback makeup looks

We all have beauty looks that make us cringe, but some of these Miss Universe delegates were so game to show how "bad" they looked before with their choice of makeup looks. In the YouTube video under the Miss Universe channel, four candidates were asked to show how they put on their makeup back in middle school. Here are the highlights of "what not to do," as introduced by Miss Australia Maria Thatill.

Miss Russia Alina Sanko loves contour, especially on her nose.

Miss Bulgaria Radinela Chusheva is fond of eyeshadows, "I loved full color makeup."

Miss Indonesia Rriaya Maulida Putri used to wear soft colored lens, "I don't want to use eye contact lenses. This is the real you, no nee to change your eye, because when you change your eye color, you change your identity."

Miss Australia Maria Thatill uses mascara on her brows, "When you put black mascara on your brows, it makes it really easy to pinch them together and make them extremely thin."

The video ended with Miss Australia reminding everyone that this is not how to put on makeup now. Times were different then, but these all these ladies are not afraid to share these interesting stories about themselves. After all, makeup is all about having fun.
