Over 260 individuals stranded in ports due to 'Crising' -- PCG

At least 264 passengers were stranded in various ports nationwide due to rough sea condition as tropical depression “Crising" affected parts of the country, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) reported on Friday, May 14.

As of 8 a.m., the PCG monitored stranded passengers in Central Visayas, South Western Mindanao, Northern Mindanao, and Northeastern Mindanao.

Those stranded included passengers, drivers, and cargo helpers.

Meanwhile, the Coast Guard said 112 rolling cargoes and seven vessels were also taking temporary shelter in ports.

According to the latest advisory from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), wind signals have been lifted as tropical depression “Crising” weakened into a low pressure area (LPA) at 8 a.m. Friday.

PAGASA said the weather disturbance will continue to move west or west-northwest before emerging over the Sulu Sea in the next six to 12 hours.
