Catriona Gray picks top 6 national costumes for 69th Miss Universe and PH is not one of them

Sorry guys! The national costume of Miss Philippines Rabiya Mateo didn’t make it to the favorite list of Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray.

On Twitter May 14, Catriona revealed her favorites for the Best National Costume at the 69th Miss Universe Competition.

Her personal choices were the costumes worn by Indonesia, Nepal, Peru, Thailand, Ukraine, and Vietnam.

“Who were yours?,” Catriona asked her followers.

Prior, the Australian-Filipino singer advised pageant fans to vote for their favorite National Costume.

“Our queen Gazini from the Philippines took the title last year!,” she proudly said.

Catriona said that the National Costume is one of her favorite aspects of the pageant because it showcases “diverse and rich cultures.”

“So many beautifully detailed National Costumes @MissUniverse,” she said.

“Will always wonder…how did they fit these huge, larger than life costumes in their luggage?!”

Note that Rabiya brought Pinoy pride with the Philippine flag-inspired national costume.

The national costume round is streaming live through Lazada and the official Miss Universe YouTube channel.
