Actor-producer Rob Visda maybe young at 26, but he has already achieved a milestone in showbiz.

At an early age, Visda has produced a movie called "Stranded" which was completed in January of this year.

"Katatapos lang po ng movie na 'Stranded' and nasa editing room na ito. Malapit na rin itong ipalabas," said Visda during an interview in Quezon City recently.

'Stranded' is a movie that's rolled into one, according to the Cebuano hunk. "Meron itong drama, comedy, romance, and action. It follows the story of some people dealing with the pandemic. Ilalabas muna ito sa digital platform and hopefully, maipalabas din ito sa mga sinehan."

In the movie, Visda will also debut his acting chops."Manager ng resort ang role ko rito. (I play the role of a resort manager in the film).

Despite the pandemic, Visda said he has so much to be thankful for. While many people were affected by the lockdown and pay cut as a result of the current situation, he said that he is blessed because he still got a job.

"Yung iba nawalan na ng trabaho at marami ang na-displaced, nabawasan din ang salary nila pero in my case, tuloy-tuloy pa rin ang work namin sa company," he said. "Ang laki talaga ng pasasalamat ko sa malaking biyaya na ito." (Some people have lost their jobs and others have been displaced. But in my case, I still work. This is truly a wonderful blessing).

From producing, Visda said that he is ready to act full-time.

"Pangarap ko talaga ang mag-artista nuon pa. Nauna lang talaga ang pag-produce ko ng movie. Pero ngayon ready na talaga ako sumabak sa showbiz," he said. (I really want to be an actor. It's just that being a producer came first. Now I'm ready to join show business).

And by ready, Visda meant that he is prepared to face the challenges in the industry.

Asked how he would take criticisms and bashing, the upcoming actor said: "I can take criticisms. Part na talaga ito ng pagiging artista at marami talaga ang pupuna sa'yo. Maganda or hindi maganda ang ginagawa mo, pupunahin ka pa rin ng mga tao. Damn if you do, damn if you don't sabi nga nila. So siguro hindi ko na lang papansin ang mga ganitong bagay."

Visda said that he would just focus on doing positive things than waste his energy on stressful activities.

The producer-actor also said that he is thankful for the guidance of fashion designer-talent manager Edwin Rosas Visda who is very supportive and hands-on as he penetrates showbiz.

"Ang natatandaan kong reminder sa akin ni Mama Edwin ay magiing mabuti sa lahat ng bagay at concenrate lang sa work," he said. (Mama Edwin always reminds me to be kind and concentrate on your work).

Asked which is more difficult between producing and acting, Visda said: "Mas mahirap ang maging actor kasi iba-ibang character ang gagawin mo. Madali lang kitain ang pera pero mahirap gumanap ng iba't ibang klase ng role." (Being an actor is more difficult because you will portray different characters. It’s easy to make money, but it's difficult to play characters).
