Sangalang lone male survivor in 'The Apprentice'

Filipino bet Louie Sangalang is literally the last man standing in ONE Championship's edition of "The Apprentice."

With a handful of experience in sales, Sangalang was saved from being sent to the chopping board of Episode 8 as Team Valor's Niraj Puran Rao, formerly from Team Conquest, Monica Millington, and project manager Paulina Purnomowati awaited the results.

With Niraj eventually eliminated, Sangalang became the lone male survivor in the "toughest" version of "The Apprentice."

"To be honest, it's been a while since I've been in sales," said Sangalang, a former mixed martial arts champion. "At the age of 21, I actually sold encyclopedias and credit cards, so I knew that if I could establish that rapport, I would be able to sell. So I'm proud of that."

Team Conquest, however, won the business challenge, which was to sell sustainable goods for both B2B (business to business) and B2C (business to consumer) markets, with a total of $26,416 earnings despite Sangalang outstanding performance.

The 43-year-old Sangalang, a cancer survivor, is without a doubt the biggest team contributor with $1,026 for a total of $15, 769 which paved the way for his safety.

Earlier, Team Valor edged Team Conquest in probably the hardest physical challenge of the show so far -- surviving a simulation of a sunken helicopter crash -- starring MMA legend Rich Franklin.

"The Apprentice" has five more episodes left before ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong chooses "the one" to become his protege and ONE chief of staff.
