Manila to start inoculating medical health workers with Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine

The Manila city government will start inoculating the medical frontliners with Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine on Thursday (May 13).

On Tuesday night (May 11), a total of 7,020 doses of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine arrived at the Sta. Ana Hospital.

The city government will also give the first shot of Astrazeneca COVID-19 vaccine to senior citizens at 18 vaccination sites in the city.

There are three vaccination sites per district. These are District 1 â€“ Emilio Jacinto Elementary School, Isabelo Delos Reyes Elementary School, and Vicente Lim Elementary School; District 2 â€“ Osmena High School, Plaridel Elementary School and Francisco Benitez Elementary School; District 3 â€“ Andres Bonifacio Elementary School, Juan Sumulong Elementary School, and Pedro Guevarra Elementary School; District 4 â€“ Ramon Magsaysay High School, Graciano Lopez Jaena Elementary School and General Malvar Elementary School; District 5 â€“ Rafael Palma Elementary School, Aurora Quezon Elementary School, and Justo Lucban Elementary School; and District 6 â€“ Jacinto Zamora Elementary School, Sta. Ana Elementary School, and EARIST College.

Meanwhile, the second dose vaccination for A1 to A3 priority groups will also be conducted at the Ospital ng Maynila.

As of Wednesday (May 12), a total of 57,215 persons in the city have completed their vaccination while 111,875 persons are still on their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
