Kuku and T1 trample on Fnatic to snag solo second in DPC-SEA Upper Division

Carlo "Kuku" Palad's T1 shocked Fnatic with a 2-0 sweep to stretch its searing streak and take the No. 2 spot in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Season 2-Southeast Asia Upper Division on Wednesday night, May 12.

T1 simply outdrafted and overwhelmed Fnatic to score an easy 18-5 victory in just 29 minutes in Game 1 behind Filipino midlaner Karl "Karl" Jayme on his Doom.

Karl served as the tanky initiator while also rendering one of the Fnatic cores useless in team fights with the ultimate as the 11K MMR pro finished with a perfect record of five kills and 10 assists.

12K MMR Thai star carry Nuengnara "23savage" Teeramahanon also showed up against his former team with his Phantom Lancer (5-0-6 kill-death-assist) even as Filipino veteran offlaner and captain Kuku on his Dark Seer finished with five kills and 12 assists.

Game 1 stats

Filipino carry Polo "Raven" Fausto and Fnatic came up with a better fight in Game 2 but 23savage's Medusa with Aghanim's Scepter proved too much to handle as the game progressed.

With 23savage leading the assault along with Indonesian support Matheww "Whitemon" Filemon, T1 forced out the GG call from Fnatic in the 36th minute with a 28-18 kill score.

Game 2 stats

After a disastrous two-game losing start, Kuku and T1 tallied their fourth consecutive victory to climb to solo second in the SEA Upper Division, just behind all-Filipino powerhouse TNC Predator (4-1).

The top three teams at the end of the season will enter the second Dota 2 Major of the year.

For its part, Fnatic saw its three-win roll end as it settled for a joint third with OB x Neon Esports with identical 3-2 slates.
