Ana Patricia Non's mom blames Badoy, Parlade for harassment, threats experienced by daughter
The mother of Maginhawa community pantry proponent, Ana Patricia Non, on Wednesday blamed Communications Undersecretary. Lorraine Badoy and Lt. Gen. Antonio Parlade, both spokespersons for the country's anti-communist insurgency task force, for the harassment and threats being experienced by her daughter.
Zena Bernardo said in a Facebook post that her daughter's ordeal started after Badoy and Parlade red-tagged Non and other community pantry operators.
"Ang ginawa nilang posts at statements ay siyang naging kumpas para atakihin kami ng kung sinu-sinong walang kinalaman sa buhay namin (Their posts and statements gave way to people not known to us to attack us)," she said.
"Kahit ang mga ordinaryong taong di sapat sa kaalaman at katinuan ay ginising nila na tila zombie para manakit (Even ordinary people who have not enough knowledge and awareness were awakened like zombies to hurt us)," she added.
Bernardo's remark came after Non decried death and rape threats against her as well as fake food bookings under her name.
This came after Badoy recently linked Non to the communist movement while Parlade compared Non's initiative to the work of "Satan."
"Di ako nakapunta sa pantry at di ko talaga sila naharap. Truth is, umiyak ako kahapon sa pagod, overwhelmed ako (I wasn't able to go to the pantry and attend to my meetings. Truth is, I cried yesterday night as I was really tired and overwhelmed) ," Non said in a Facebook post Tuesday.
"Di ako makalabas kahapon kasi wala naman akong sasakyan lalo na wala naman akong security. Hindi ko alam kung worth it ba lumabas para sa photo ops pero kapalit yung safety ko (I couldn't go out yesterday because I have no car and security. I no longer know if it's worth it to go outside for photo opportunities and compromise my safety)," she added.
