All-women panel of judges to select semifinalists for 69th Miss Universe Competition

The 69th Miss Universe Competition announced the eight-women selection committee tasked to choose the top 21 semifinalists of the prestigious beauty pageant ongoing in Hollywood, Florida.

They judges are: Arden Cho, former Miss Universe Brook Lee, Christine Duffy, Deepica Mutyala, Tatyana Orozco, Keltie Knight, former Miss Universe Zuleyka Rivera, and Sheryl Adkins-Green.

The judges will select the semifinalists during the preliminary competition where the girls will be judged in swimsuit and evening gown. Prior, the girls have been interviewed during a close-door meeting.

Incidentally, the 20 semifinalists will be chosen by the female judges while one candidate will be selected based on fan votes.

Seventy-four girls from around the world are vying for the title of Miss Universe.

The finals will be held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Florida on May 16 (May 17 in Manila).
