After film house, Piolo Pascual ventures into record label

True to his promise some years ago that he'll "diversify," hunk singer-actor Piolo Pascual is now trying his hand heading a new record label.

Just Music, a sub-unit of CS Music (Cornerstone Entertainment’s music label for big mainstream hitmakers and names such as Catriona’ Gray, Kyla, Jay R, Jason Dy, Richard Poon, Ian Pangilinan to name a few), will house yet-to-be-named singer-songwriters.

“With the abundance of talent that we have here in the Philippines, I guess, we’ve been seeing a lot of potential in these new artists and that’s where this all came up,” said Piolo in an article published on Cornerstone Entertainment. “When you see a lot of artists who could potentially make a change in the scene, you want to give them that platform, that chance.”

He thinks there are a lot of new artists and so much talent that has to be exposed, but they need a platform to legitimize it.

“I want to give them a chance to shine on their own, using this label,” he declared.

Note that among his new discoveries are kenji and NKO.

In 2018, Piolo announced that “Since I Found You” is the last teleserye he will be doing.

Later he became busy with his independent film production firm Spring Films, releasing different movies one after another.

Then late last year, Piolo has surprised fans with the music video of his latest song “Iiyak Sa Ulan.”

The 44-year-old star is currently spending quarantine in Batangas.
