720 health protocol violators apprehended in Las Piñas City

The Las Piñas City government reported the apprehension of 720 people for not wearing face masks and face shields.

According to Paul San Miguel, Public Information Office (PIO) chief, the local police under Col. Rodel Pastor nabbed a total of 720 violators from March 16 to May 11.

San Miguel said 520 violators were apprehended for not wearing face masks and 200 for face shields.

The PIO chief said that the violators were brought to the covered courts in concerned barangays where they were given a one-hour lecture on their violation before their release.

San Miguel said the city government received on Wednesday more than 500,000 reusable face masks from the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

He said the reusable face masks will be given to individuals apprehended by the police.
