P15 M lost in Carmona, Cavite garment factory fire

CARMONA, Cavite - A fire razed a garment factory in Golden Mile Business Park in Barangay Maduya here on Tuesday (May 11) with damage estimated at close to P15 million.

Senior Insp. Ralph Emmanuel Ocampo told the Manila Bulletin that the Carmona Fire Station received a call about the incident at 9:26 a.m.

The third alarm was declared at 9:53 a.m. prompting firetrucks from Bacoor, General Mariano Alvarez, General Trias, Silang, and Biñan, Laguna to help put out the blaze.

Fire out was declared at 11:47 a.m.

According to a witness, the fire started at the second floor of the building, where stocks of textile were being stored. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

There were no casualties reported.
