Mayor Tiangco receives 2nd dose of COVID vaccine

Navotas City Mayor Toby Tiangco received his second dose of CoronaVac vaccine on Monday afternoon at San Jose Academy.

In a facebook post, Tiangco shared that he waited for 28 days to receive the second dose of China’s Sinovac Vaccine.

“Fully vaccinated na po tayo matapos makuha ang ikalawang dose ng CoronaVac kanina sa San Jose Academy. 28 days ang hinintay bago makumpleto ang dalawang doses ng bakuna laban sa COVID-19 (We were fully vaccinated after getting the second dose of CoronaVac earlier at San Jose Academy. We waited 28 days before two doses of COVID-19 vaccine were completed),” he said.

Mayor Tiangco received his first dose of CoronaVac on April 12.

The city mayor encouraged the Navoteños to be vaccinated against the virus.

“Ang bakuna ay nagbibigay sa atin ng proteksyon para di tayo magkakaroon ng severe o malalang COVID at di tayo manganganib maospital o mamatay (The vaccine protects us from developing severe COVID and from the risk of hospitalization or death),” he said.

“Kaya kasabay ng pagpapabakuna, patuloy pa rin po nating isagawa ang minimum health protocols para di tayo mahawaan ng sakit (So along with vaccination, we will continue to implement minimum health protocols so that we do not become infected),” he added.
