Korean golf legend and now TV personality and broadcaster Park Se-ri, 43, and actress Byun Jung-soo, 47, have revealed that they have been cured of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Park Se-ri tested positive for COVID-19 on April 24 after getting in contact with musical actor Son Jun-ho on her online show “Naver NOW Serizabeth” on April 21. Son Jun-ho tested positive on April 23.

"I was told that an actor who joined me in a broadcast on April 21 tested positive for the coronavirus on April 23. I immediately took the coronavirus test and was given the positive result this morning," she said, according to Yonhap News.

On May 9, Park Se-ri announced that she has recovered from COVID-19, saying, “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the fans, medical staff and officials who have cared and supported me. Thanks to everyone, I'm back to my daily routine in good health!”

“And there are still many people who are having a hard time due to COVID-19. I will support you. I believe you will overcome it with strength!!” she added.

Byun Jung-soo posted on Instagram on May 7 to say, “How have you all been? I was released from the hospital today. Doctors, nurses, they're working so hard. Even at dawn. Everyone, be careful.”

“If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is thank you, it will be enough. I sincerely thank those who supported me and waited for me, and shared and healed my pain. I returned to my daily routine in good health,” she added.

Byun Jung-soo is known for starring in the 2008 Korean drama “Last Scandal” together with the late actress Choi Jin-sil and actor Jung Joon-ho. Last year, she appeared in the Channel A drama “Touch.”

On April 26, she revealed that a representative of a partner company that she had dinner with for a business meeting tested positive for COVID-19 on April 24. Byun Jung-soo immediately underwent testing and on April 25, the results showed that she was positive for the virus. She went into self-isolation and was treated at a center.

On May 7, it was announced that Byun Jung-soo donated 10 million won (about $9,000) to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association, an organization doing humanitarian aid and disaster relief efforts in Korea.

Her donation will be used to benefit medical staff who are working hard to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Also on April 24, agency I-Grand Korea posted on Twitter that Hyun-wook and O.V, members of K-pop boy band D-Crunch, tested positive for COVID-19.

Korean actor Shin Sung-rok, who played a villain in the 2013 hit drama “My Love from the Star” and star of the 2020 drama “Kairos,” tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on April 28 after undergoing a test.
