The Department of Health (DOH) recorded 6,846 new coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases on Monday, May 10.

The case bulletin of the DOH also showed 8,193 new recoveries and 90 new deaths.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country rose to 1,108,826.
Total recoveries climbed to 1,030,367 while total deaths rose to 18,562.
The DOH said that of the 59,897 active cases, 93.7 percent were mild, 2.2 percent were asymptomatic, 1.3 percent were critical, 1.7 percent were severe, and 1.10 percent were moderate.
The Health Department said 10 duplicates were removed from the total case count as these were recoveries.
"Moreover, 40 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final validation," it said.
The DOH said all labs were operational on May 8, 2021, while five labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Document Repository System.
