Alfonso, Cavite Municipal Health Office closes down due to COVID-19 case

ALFONSO, CAVITE - The Municipal Health Office will be closed down until further notice after a frontline worker tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

In a Facebook post on Sunday (May 10), Mayor Randy Salamat said all the MHO staff members have undergone a swab test and are currently under quarantine.

The mayor asked his constituents to wait for further announcements about MHO's resumption of operations.

As of May 7, the upland agricultural town has recorded 60 active cases of COVID-19, bringing its total confirmed cases to 355. According to data in the Provincial Health Office COVID-19 Case Tracker, Alfonso is one of the seven municipalities in Cavite that have recorded less than 500 cases since the pandemic started.
