Sneaky segway by RENEJAY and H2wo completes NXP's revenge sweep over Omega

Renejay "RENEJAY" Barcarse and John Paul "H2wo" Salonga came up with a sneaky segway play as Nexplay Esports exacted its sweet revenge against Smart Omega, 2-0, in the MPL Philippines Season 7 on Saturday night, May 1.

With Omega holding a huge lead in Game 2 and ready to take the Luminous Lord to secure a decider, James "Jeymz" Gloria's Yu Zhong bought so much time for Renejay's Harith and H2wo's Lancelot to push out the top lane and eventually destroy the opposing Base.

Adrian "Toshi" Bacallo's Pharsa made a last-ditch effort to deny the backdoor siege but the heavy turret damage from Renejay and H2wo closed out the surprising sweep in 17 minutes.

Earlier in Game 1, NXP leaned on its mechanical prowess to topple the systematic gameplay of Omega and post a lopsided 23-9 victory in 17 minutes.

Renejay on Khaleed, H2wo on Harley, Tristan "Yawi" Cabrera on Akai and Dexter "Exort" Martinez on Lunox all produced individual highlight reels in crushing Omega.

Coach Setsuna "Dogie" Ignacio's NXP avenged its 2-0 defeat to mentor Tony "Ynot" Senedrin's Omega back in Week 2.

Dogie's crew also scored its third win in a row and surpassed rival Execration at No. 3 in Group B with 13 points on a 4-5 record.

Omega saw its two-win streak end but remained at No. 2 with 14 points on a 4-5 slate.
