In its 24-hour weather forecast on Thursday morning, The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the northeasterly windflow will prevail over Luzon.

PAGASA weather specialist Shelly Ignacio said the weather system would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

She noted that such rains are only isolated, and weather conditions over Luzon would be generally fair weather.

On the other hand, Ignacio said warm and humid weather may be experienced in Visayas and Mindanao.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms will also affect the area.

She also pointed out that severe thunderstorms may occur in Mindanao in the afternoon or in the evening.

Residents were warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, no weather disturbance may affect the country in the next few days.

A maximum temperature of 33 degrees Celsius is expected in Metro Manilla.

Tagaytay and Baguio City will have lower temperatures on Thursday at 22 to 31 degrees Celsius and 16 to 24 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Moreover, PAGASA has not issued a gale warning, meaning fishing boats and other small sea crafts are allowed to venture out into the sea.
