V33Wise duo regains winning code for Blacklist at the expense of Execration

Danerie James "Wise" Del Rosario and Johnmar "OhMyV33nus" Villaluna lifted Blacklist International to a 2-1 victory over Execration in the MPL Philippines Season 7 on Friday night, April 30.

The iconic "V33Wise" duo of Wise on Granger and OhMyV33nus on Estes provided the right mix of damage and sustain for Blacklist to overwhelm Execration in the deciding Game 3 and eventually regain its winning code after suffering its first loss to Bren Esports, 2-1, on Thursday.

Wise finished with a 7-1-2 kill-death-assist record while OhMyV33nus tallied eight assists without deaths to power the Tier One Entertainment-backed squad's surgical 9-4 victory in nearly 13 minutes in the third game.

Veteran tank Jayson "ESON" Gerardo also stepped up with a 1-0-7 record and a big-time setup on Joshua "Ch4knu" Mangilog's Baxia that resulted in a free Lord take for Blacklist in the 10th minute.

Wise gunned down Renz "Renzio" Cadua's Paquito and Kiel VJ "Kielvj" Hernandez's Claude to secure the win for the Kristoffer "BON CHAN" Ricaplaza-coached team.

Blacklist inched closer to clinching a playoff berth after improving to 21 points on an 8-1 series slate at the top of Group B.

Billy "Z4pnu" Alfonso's Execration absorbed its third defeat in a row but still moved to solo third in the same group with 11 points on a 4-4 record, one marker ahead of idle rival Nexplay Esports.

Execration gave Blacklist a hard time in Game 1 but the latter's superior execution allowed them to prevail in important team fights.

Z4pnu's crew was able to tie the series on the back of Ch4knu's brilliant initiations with Khufra and the magic burst from Duane "Kelra" Pillas' Pharsa and Patrick "E2MAX" Caidic's Yve only to lose steam in Game 3.
