Gloria Diaz on Rabiya Mateo: 'Alangan naman sabihin ko pangit siya'

The country's first-ever Miss Universe titlist, Gloria Diaz, shared her two cents on Rabiya Mateo's chances in this year's edition of the prestigious pageant.

According to Gloria, Rabiya is very much "deserving" of the win.

"I can never tell (who is going to win exactly), but she is really deserving," she quipped in a recent interview.

As to the 24-year-old Balasan beauty's looks, she said, "Maganda naman si Rabiya talaga."

“Maganda siya. Actually, ang dami kong nakikitang photos niya and she seems to be a very nice girl."

She added, "Alangan naman sabihin ko pangit siya, ‘no?"
