Expect warm temperatures across most of PH on Labor Day -- PAGASA
The easterlies will still be the dominant weather system that may affect most parts of the country during the celebration of Labor Day on Saturday, May 1, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Friday, April 30.
Easterlies is the warm wind originating from the Pacific Ocean that brings warm and humid weather conditions over the country.

"Cloudy skies with rain showers and thunderstorms will be felt in Mindanao, while Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy skies with isolated afternoon or evening rain showers and thunderstorms," PAGASA said in a special weather outlook.
"Expect a warmer temperature over Luzon and everyone is advised to reduce their outdoor activities or prolonged exposure to sunlight, which may cause extreme danger," it added.
PAGASA said maximum air temperatures on Saturday may reach 34 degrees Celsius in Metro Manila, 34 degrees Celsius in Tuguegarao City, 24 degrees Celsius in Baguio City, 32 degrees Celsius in Tagaytay City, 33 degrees Celsius in Puerto Princesa City, 32 degrees Celsius in Metro Cebu, 33 degrees Celsius in Metro Davao, and 34 degrees Celsius in Zamboanga City.
By Sunday, May 2, PAGASA said the easterlies will continue to affect the country and bring generally fair weather conditions in the western section of Luzon, including Metro Manila with a slim chance of rains.
Meanwhile, isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are expected over the rest of the country, especially in the afternoon or evening.
By Monday until Friday, May 3 to May 7, PAGASA said the easterlies will continue to bring warm and fair weather conditions except for some isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
