Sharing some love: Auxiliary officer Gerald Anderson helps build PCG Botolan substation
Actor Gerald Anderson has donated construction materials to support the operations of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) substation Botolan in Zambales.
In a statement, the PCG said Anderson visited and brought some construction materials, such as cement, hollow blocks, and coco lumber to help renovate the building that serves as the office of the deployed PCG personnel in Botolan.

Anderson is an auxiliary officer of the Philippine Coast Guard with a rank of Lieutenant Commander. He joined the Coast Guard in December 2016 as part of the agency’s K9 Special Support Squadron.
During his visit, the actor expressed his support for the operation of the PCG substation Botolan.
“The Coast Guard unit will definitely expand security in the waters of Zambales where most of the residents depend on the ocean for their families,” Anderson said.

Last month, Anderson has conducted relief operations for the 300 Aeta families at the Lupang Pangako Resettlement Area in Barangay San Agustin, Iba, Zambales.
He distributed basic commodities that include supplies for personal hygiene to mark his birthday last March 6.
Actress Julia Barreto was also with him during the entire relief operation. Anderson recently confirmed in a television show his romantic relationship with Barreto.
The couple became the subject of discussions in social media over allegations that they both left their partners to start their own love story.
Anderson was with actress Bea Alonzo during that time while Barreto was then romantically involved with her love team Joshua Garcia.
