The country is forecast to have generally fair weather conditions but isolated rain showers or thunderstorms may occur in the afternoon or in the evening, the state weather bureau said Thursday, April 29.

In its 4 p.m. weather update, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the easterlies or warm and humid winds from the Pacific will continue to affect most parts of the country.

“Inaasahan natin ang generally fair weather condition (We expect generally fair weather conditions),” weather specialist Raymond Ordinario said.

“Maliban lamang sa mga isolated rain showers or thunderstorms na magiging mas madalas iyan pagdating ng hapon o gabi (Except for isolated rain showers or thunderstorms which will be more frequent in the afternoon or evening),” he added.

Ordinario said warm weather conditions will prevail across most parts of the country in the coming days.

“Kaya patuloy na pinapayuhan ang ating mga kababayan na maging handa sa posibleng epekto ng mainit ng panahon (So we continue to advise the public to be prepared for the possible effects of hot weather),” he said.

No weather disturbance will also affect the country in the next few days, he added.

PAGASA said Metro Manila and the rest of the country would have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the weather bureau has not issued a gale warning, meaning fishing boats and other small sea crafts are allowed to venture out into the sea.
