5 pushers arrested, P8M worth of marijuana seized in Bulacan buy-bust

Joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) arrested five people and seized some P8 million worth of marijuana in a buy-bust in Malolos, Bulacan on Wednesday, April 28.
PDEA spokesperson Derrick Carreon said that 68 kilos of dried marijuana were confiscated from John Patrick Milan, Kevin Paul Jose, Mispa Jamsen, Jayson Justiniano and Enrick Justin based on the PDEa Regional Office III report.
Aside from the marijuana, the anti-narcotics team also seized one unit of cellular phone, a weighing scale and P1,000 peso bill used as marked money.
Reports disclosed that the suspects were among the major suppliers of marijuana in Bulacan and nearby areas in Pampanga.
The operation was led by PDEA Agent Enrique Lucero, Police Captain Renz Principe, Police Chief Master Sergeant Jayson Salvador all under the supervision of PDEA Regional Office III Director Christian Frivaldo.
Marijuana is a psychoactive and mind-altering drug from the cannabis plant that can have harmful effects to the mind and body when used abusively.
The suspects are now facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Chito A. Chavez)
