OCTA to community pantry organizers: Keep proper health protocols to prevent virus transmissions
OCTA Research Group on Wednesday, April 28, encouraged the organizers of community pantries all over the country to help ensure that minimum health protocols are sustained in their various activities.
The group said it is in full support to the community pantry movement in the country as long as these are strictly compliant with the public health standards.

"We laud these civic initiatives and strongly urge the public to continue to support these initiatives," OCTA said.
The group issued the statement as it denied issuing "unsubstantiated" claims to other media outlets that pointed to a delay in the decline of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases due to the establishment of community pantries.
"In response to some recent media reports attributing to OCTA research and its fellow Dr. Guido David, the assertion linking 'the delay in decline in the number of COVID cases to community pantries,' OCTA wishes to clarify that these reports are false and misleading," OCTA said.
"While OCTA research does not know how these news reports originated, it would like to request its media partners sharing the aforementioned to revise the inaccuracies in their news reports for the benefit of the public," it added.
