DSWD warns public vs fake Facebook account

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has warned the public against a fake DSWD Facebook account.

In a Facebook post, the DSWD clarified that the “DSWD Tulong Financial Staff” is not the agency’s official Facebook account.

"Muli naming pinapaalala sa lahat na iwasan ang pagtangkilik sa mga fake pages tulad nito (Once again we remind everyone to avoid patronizing fake pages like this,” read the post.

"Amin pong lilinawin na hindi ito opisyal na Facebook account ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) (We would like to clarify that this is not the Facebook account of the DSWD),” it added.

The agency urged the public to rely on the informational materials from its official website and social media accounts.

"Upang maging updated sa mga programa ng DSWD, bisitahin lamang ang aming website sa www.dswd.gov.ph at sundan ang aming Facebook at Twitter accounts na @dswdserves (To be updated on DSWD programs, simply visit our website at www.dswd.gov.ph and follow our Facebook and Twitter accounts @dswdserves),” it said.
