Netflix just dropped the trailer of ‘Sailor Moon Eternal: The Movie’, which will drop on the streaming platform on June 3rd.
For long time fans of the franchise, ‘Sailor Moon Eternal’ is a brand new movie with all new animation. The story will be based on the Dream Arc of the manga and will be a direct continuation of the events of ‘Sailor Moon Crystal’ which was released by Toei Animation in 2014.
The film will center around a Pegasus named Helios who seeks Sailor Guardians’ help to break the seal of the Golden Crystal which gives Tuxedo mask his powers. The 10 Sailor Guardians are also expected to battle it out with Nehelenia, the Queen of the Dead Moon, in an epic showdown.
The two-part ‘Sailor Moon Eternal’ was released in Japanese theaters in January and February this year. It was the first time a film from the ‘Sailor Moon’ franchise to hit the screens in 26 years.
