Kelley Day back in PH, mum on Miss Eco International COVID controversy

Miss Eco International 2021 first runner-up Kelley Day has finally come back home to the Philippines more than three weeks after the beauty pageant concluded.

Day, looking like a normal airport passenger, arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 at around 3 p.m. Monday, April 26, aboard an Etihad Airways flight from Turkey via Abu Dhabi.

The coronation night was held last April 4 in Egypt, where Day finished just behind pageant winner, Gizzelle Uys of South Africa.

Day declined to comment about the controversy involving the pageant organizers that allegedly led to some contestants testing positive for the dreaded coronavirus disease (COVID-19). This supposedly led to some of the ladies being stranded in the host country.

The Philippine bet said she would undergo quarantine and then take a swab test on the sixth day.
