GOSSIP GIRL: Coco Martin enforces strict health protocols on the set of 'FPJ's Ang Probinsyano'

Sorry but rumors that the longest-running teleserye “FPJ's Ang Probinsyano” will end in April are not true.

 
Several books are lined-up as Cardo portrayed by Coco Martin embarks on new adventures and plots especially after the death of his dearly beloved wife Alyana, played by Yassi Pressman.


"FPJ's Ang Probinsiyano" is now on its fifth year going sixth and Coco, who is the lead actor and director of the popular prime-time series, has no plans of retiring the show just yet, especially now that its TV rating is at an all-time high since it transferred to TV5 and the commercial load is in its full capacity. 


I was fortunate enough to be cast in its present book and I really admire how Coco works his production and television show. On our first day, he invites every one for a company call and tell all of us, “Sobrang blessed tayong lahat na may trabaho tayo ngayong pandemya. Kaya nakikiusap ako sa inyong lahat. Sundin natin lahat ng safety protocol, laging isuot ang face mask at face shield during taping. Kailangan kapag bumalik kayo sa pamilya ninyo, COVID-free kayo.” (We are so blessed to be working in spite of the pandemic. So I am asking all of you to please follow our safety protocols, wear your face mask and face shield. You need to be back COVID-19 free to your families.) 


Aside from these safety protocols, everyone in the cast and production were on isolated quarantine for 14 days before taking their swab tests.

Once they are cleared, they can enter in what we call a “bubble taping” where we can only leave after three weeks. Even if the cast and crew are all negative, Coco still enforces the wearing of face mask and face shield for extra protocol just to be sure.

Also, members of the cast have their own tents and the crew members should eat six feet away from one another.

Safety officers are roving all over the set to make sure everyone does not break the health safety measures.


"FPJ's Ang Probinsyano" airs on TV5 Mondays through Fridays at 8 p.m. and on YouTube under the Kapamilya Online live account same days and time.
