Barangay Ginebra stalwart Aljon Mariano has shown support to the community pantry set up by one of the go-to places of Thomasians around University of Santo Tomas.
Mariano, a former Growling Tiger, took it to Instagram after recently dropping by "Mang Tootz" located along P. Noval Street -- home of the famous "banana rhum-a."
The former UST star was seen holding a yellow placard promoting the community pantry organized by restaurant owner Toots Vergara.
Two sacks of rice and trays of eggs were also placed in front of the eatery's facade.
It was quite a trip down memory lane as Mariano also showed a Boomerang clip of him sprinkling sugar on top of the banana rhum-as.

"Share what you can! Just message @bigbosstootsie (Toots Vergara)," wrote the 28-year-old Ginebra forward in a reposted Instagram story.
In an interview with the Varsitarian, the official student publication of UST, Vergara said he was inspired by the community pantry first installed at Maginhawa Street in Quezon City.
Per the report, the P. Noval community pantry runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
