Work Auster Force came through with a vengeful 2-0 sweep of Aura PH to get back to the top of their group in the MPL Philippines Season 7 on Saturday, April 24.
Work leaned on its late-game prowess anchored on hyper-carry Daniel "Chuuu" Chu in both victories as it exacted a sweet revenge against the Aura side that beat them 2-1 back in the season-opening day.
After scoring back-to-back sweeps over Aura and Cignal Ultra on Friday, the boys of coach Laurence "Lift" Ruiz reclaimed the No. 1 spot in Group A with 16 points on a 5-3 series win-loss slate.
Aura's four-game winning streak came to a stop as it dropped to No. 2 still with its 14 points on a 5-2 record.
It was a seesaw battle in Game 1 as both teams traded kills in team fights and objectives but Chuuu on his Claude slowly secured his core items heading to the late game.
Chuuu unleashed a perfectly timed Blazing Duet to hit a triple kill that resulted in a 4-for-2 kill exchange and a Lord in the 10th minute en route to a 16-10 triumph.

Bent on keeping its streak alive, Aura jumped off to a fiery start and a 9-3 lead in Game 2 behind the debuting Martis of Benedict "Bennyqt" Gonzales.
But Work held on and waited for Patrick "rTzy" Grecia's Lunox and Clarense "Kousei" Camilo's Pharsa both armed with Clock of Destiny along Chuuu's Lancelot to come online.
With rTz, Kousei and Chuuu dealing the damage while captain-tank Dylan "Unravel" Catipon's Jawhead setting up the initiations, Work was able to turn the tides of the battle and prevailed in multiple clashes.
Work punished Aura for chasing Frediemar "3MarTzy" Serafico's Uranus at the top lane as they scored a 4-for-nothing trade and went straight for the Base to take a 15-12 win in 17 minutes.
