Smart Omega rips Execration for sweet revenge in MPL-PH

Banking on its superior draft and methodical execution, Smart Omega exacted revenge on Execration with a crushing 2-0 sweep and returned to its winning ways in the MPL Philippines Season 7 on Friday night, April 23. 

Omega unleashed the deadly duo of Pharsa and Yve in Game 1 before pulling out a protective Diggie tactic to deny Execration a single kill in Game 2. 

Coach Tony "Ynot" Senedrin's boys avenged their 2-0 defeat to Billy "Z4pnu" Alfonso's crew back in the season-opening match last March 19. 

Omega also snapped out of its three-game losing slump and jumped to No. 2 in Group B with 11 points on a 3-4 series win-loss card. 

Execration saw its two-win streak end as it dropped to No. 3 in the same group still with nine markers. 

Adrian "Toshi" Bacallo on Pharsa and Jankurt "KurtTzy" Matira on Yve enabled Omega to prevail in team fights through their beautiful Feathered Air Strike and Real World Manipulation combination in Game 1. 

With Toshi and KurtTzy dealing heavy magic burst while Salic "Hadjizy" Imam on Granger took care of the physical damage, Omega wiped out Execration to close out the 18-5 rout in 16 minutes. 

Game 2 turned out to be a massacre as Omega pulled off a 16-0 decimation of Execration in just nearly 14 minutes. 

Veteran pro Jeniel "Haze" Bata-anon went for a defensive gameplay with Diggie, allowing Hadjizy's Bruno to secure his core items and eventually dish out damage in clashes freely. 

KurtTzy's Yve and Toshi's Harith provided the necessary magic arsenal while Kenneth Jiane "Kenji" Villa's Uranus was the one soaking up the damage from the opposing side.
