Iy4knu puts on a show as Onic trips Cignal to get back on winning track

Christian "Iy4knu" Manaog on his Harith dazzled as Onic PH returned to its winning ways at the expense of Cignal Ultra, 2-1, in the MPL Philippines Season 7 on Friday, April 23.

Armed with Calamity Reaper, Feather of Heaven, Holy Crystal and Concentrated Energy, Iy4knu's Harith freely danced on his Zaman Force and burst down the opponents one by one to power Onic's 24-10 victory in the deciding Game 3 in 16 minutes.

Core-turned-support Kairi "Kairi" Rayosdelsol also shone with his Selena setting up multiple pickoffs with his perfectly placed Abyssal Traps and Abyssal Arrows.

The two-time MPL runner-up team snapped its two-game losing skid and improved to seven points with a 3-2 win-loss series record at No. 4 in Group A.

Cignal still could not get a breakthrough as it lost its sixth match and remained at the bottom of Group A with three markers.

The struggling squad of coach Denver "Yebmaester" Miranda is taking on Work Auster Force (No. 2 in Group A with 10 points) as of posting time.

Cignal actually drew first blood in the series as it seized the momentum heading to the midgame when Arvie "Aquaboy" Antonio's Bruno picked off Jaylord "Hate" Gonzales' Benedetta with the help of Jefferson "Kekedot" Mogol's Popol and Kupa right at the third Turtle area.

Kairi's Kagura kept Onic alive with his heroics highlighted by a Luminous Lord steal via Flameshot but Aquaboy and Janus "JANUS" Badando's Zhask proved to be overwhelming in the late game.

Kairi then set up the stage for Onic's comeback as he came through with a perfect Lunox performance in Game 2, finishing with a 12-0-11 kill-death-assist to foil Cignal's feeding Diggie strategy and fuel his team's 39-7 win in 16 minutes.
